On June 6, Yantian District kicked off its 2024 World Oceans Day and National Ocean Awareness Day series with a science-focused event aimed at promoting marine education among local youth. The event, themed “Exploring the Ocean, Protecting the Blue,” was jointly organized by the Yantian District Development and Reform Bureau, the Yantian Branch of the Shenzhen Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, and the Yantian District Education Bureau under the guidance of the Shenzhen Municipal Ocean Development Bureau.

As part of the event, Professor Yang Bo delivered an engaging lecture on marine science to students. The session covered topics such as the diversity of marine life, island geography, and the ecological importance of oceans, with a focus on fostering environmental awareness among young participants.
