The Xiaomeisha Sea World conducted its final round of stress testing on Sept. 22, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward reopening. Journalists and invited guests were given a first-hand preview of the revamped facility, which showcases the integration of marine life, technology, and interactive experiences.
Set to open for trial operations during the National Day holiday, the Xiaomeisha Sea World is a key cultural and tourism project for Shenzhen. Located in Yantian District, the reimagined attraction spans 60,200 square meters, with a construction area of 132,500 square meters and a total water volume of 40,000 cubic meters.
The updated facility offers a multifaceted experience, blending marine conservation, scientific education, family-friendly learning, and interactive entertainment. A project spokesperson highlighted significant upgrades, including cutting-edge technologies and immersive exhibits that enhance animal displays, interactive activities, and visitor engagement. The park’s features include IP-themed attractions, marine-focused technology, and a unique mix of education and entertainment, all designed to appeal to a wide audience.
After more than four years of reconstruction, the Xiaomeisha Sea World aims to redefine marine tourism in Shenzhen, delivering a modern and engaging destination that combines fun with education.
