Train tickets for the upcoming National Day holiday from Oct. 1 to 7 are now on sale at the official railway ticket-booking website, www.12306.cn.
The website offers an English version that supports email registration — no Chinese mobile number needed — and accepts international payments, including VISA, MasterCard, JCB, and Diners Club. Users can conveniently book, change, or cancel tickets online, according to the railway authority.
Tickets from Shenzhen to popular destinations such as Chengdu, Wuhan, Nanning, Zhengzhou, Guiyang, and Kunming are selling rapidly, with Oct. 1 tickets nearly sold out.
The national railway network is expected to handle approximately 175 million passenger trips during the seven-day holiday. Oct. 1 is projected to be the peak travel day, with around 21 million passenger trips nationally.
The launch of the Meizhou-Long-chuan section of the Longyan-Longchuan High-speed Railway last week has also spurred travel interest. Tickets from Shenzhen to Meizhou for Oct. 1 were sold out within 10 minutes.
Travelers are advised to book their tickets early and plan ahead to ensure a smooth journey during the busy holiday period.
