The 2024 Shenzhen workers’ beach tug-of-war was successfully held at Dameisha Coastal Park in Yantian District on Nov. 23. Organized by the Shenzhen Federation of Trade Unions and hosted by the Workers’ Cultural Palace and Yantian District Federation of Trade Unions, the event brought together over 200 participants representing various districts across the city.
Beach tug-of-war, a team-based sport combining fitness, recreation, and tourism, challenges participants’ strength and endurance while emphasizing teamwork and coordination. During the competition, teams from diverse industries across Shenzhen demonstrated unity and determination, creating a vibrant scene of camaraderie and sportsmanship. The energetic cheers and applause of spectators filled the air, blending seamlessly with the park’s scenic beauty to create an atmosphere of excitement and festivity.
After several rounds of intense competition, the Foxconn Technology Group Workers’ Federation claimed the championship, showcasing exceptional teamwork and perseverance. The Qinghu Community Workers’ Federation of Longhua District secured the runner-up position, while the Futian District Security Services Workers’ Federation earned third place.
