Yantian District has joined forces with Huawei Cloud to establish a new Digital Transformation Promotion Center for the Gold and Jewelry Industry, aiming to propel the industry’s shift towards digitization and intelligence. The initiative aligns with Shenzhen’s “20+8”  industrial cluster strategy, which seeks to foster high-quality growth in the city’s modern fashion sector.

At a recent launch event, Yantian District emphasized that the partnership with Huawei Cloud will introduce cutting-edge digital technology to support the entire gold and jewelry supply chain, from production and trade to integration with domestic and international markets.

The center’s focus includes promoting digital transformation, strengthening intellectual property protection, and advancing asset monetization and securitization within the industry. Yantian also aims to refine its business and policy environment to support companies in reducing costs, increasing efficiency, expanding production, and upgrading operations, all contributing to Yantia’s reputation as a leading hub for the gold and jewelry trade.

The event also saw the signing of cooperation agreements between the center and four key industry players: Chow Tai Fook, Bai Tai, Yuehao, and King Fook. The collaboration seeks to attract high-caliber companies from across China to support Yantian’s growing gold and jewelry ecosystem. Shanghai Black Lake Network Technology Co., Fanruan Software Co., and Cool Xuan (Beijing) Technology Co. were awarded “Preferred Capability Partner” status, recognizing their contributions to the industry’s digital growth.

Leveraging Yantian’s established base of gold and jewelry companies, the new center will support industry players through a series of initiatives, including application development, joint innovation projects, technical training, and industry forums. Huawei Cloud will provide additional support with services aimed at business expansion, aligning industry demands, and enabling technology-driven growth. Together, Yantian and Huawei Cloud aim to establish the region as a globally competitive center of innovation in the gold and jewelry industry.
