Located on the border between Yantian District and Hong Kong, Chung Ying Street has a very interesting and unique history that each city owns one side of the street. As Hong Kong decided to close the border area after the Second World War, the small town on the border, which used to be famous for shopping, is no longer flourished.
As its interesting history and joint ownership makes it a unique aspect of Yantian, a museum was built by Yantian authority to introduce the area’s history. Travelers technically must cross the border to Hong Kong if they want to experience the whole street as it is jointly owned.
